Earthworm habitats made by our Storybook Science students

Earthworm habitats – cool!!

Kindergarten – Grade 2

New: Storybook Science parties!

Mythbusters isn’t just for big kids. In this class for students in kindergarten and grade 1, we’ll read a different story each week to our kindergarten and first grade scientists and then conduct hands-on science experiments to test the truthfulness or recreate certain elements of each story!

Did you love our first Storybook Science class? Storybook Science II follows the same format, but with a whole new set of stories and experiments. Want to look around corners or over fences? After reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, we’ll be building periscopes!

Stories and lessons will vary depending on the interests of our first grade and kindergarten scientists. And yes, we know it’s hard getting kids to talk about what they did that day. That’s why we send a note home a day or two after every class, explaining what we did, what we learned, and what’s next. Sometimes we also include photos or videos! Parents love our notes!

  • SEVEN meetings, once a week, 60 minutes per meeting.
  • Wednesdays Jan 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 20, 27  (No class February 13)
  • Minimum 11 students/Maximum 12 students
  • Tuition is $100 per student (Materials fee of $10 is included)
  • $5 PTA Administrative Fee

Areas of exploration may include: aerodynamics, biology, physics, geology, archaeology, chemistry… and more!
